Impact Report 2025

Transforming our food system is one of the most urgent and complex challenges of our time.

The way we produce and consume food today puts immense pressure on our planet, driving climate change, biodiversity loss and resource depletion. Yet within that challenge lies a real opportunity: to reimagine the food system within the boundaries of what our planet can sustain.

At Future Food Fund, we invest in entrepreneurs who are not only building promising businesses, but also designing genuine solutions for a sustainable and resilient food system. From regenerative agriculture and biotechnology to food waste solutions, our portfolio companies are driving this transition forward. 2025 was not an easy year. Venture capital markets remained under pressure and agrifoodtech faced its own distinct headwinds: longer paths to commercialisation, complex regulatory landscapes and a market still finding its footing on the balance between impact and returns. Against that backdrop, the rise of AI added a new layer of opportunity and challenges. It is reshaping how capital flows and how industries are built and we are watching carefully where it creates genuine opportunity for the food transition to accelerate the transition.

This report also comes with a refreshed identity. We have redesigned our visual language around the Fibonacci spiral, the mathematical sequence that appears throughout the natural world as nature’s own blueprint for optimal growth. You find it in the curl of a fern, the seed pattern of a sunflower and the spiralling of a nautilus shell. It is how nature organises complexity into something that works. For a fund investing in solutions that aim to bring food production back into balance with natural systems, it felt less like a design choice and more like an obvious truth. The road ahead is not straightforward. But with a strong portfolio, committed partners and a growing network of mission-driven founders, we remain convinced that this is a decisive decade for our food system and we are determined to play our part.

Thank you for being part of this journey.
