We are a specialist food & agriculture impact fund investing in early-stage companies in Western Europe that change the value chain of food & agriculture. Forever.
Food production accounts for nearly 25% of climate- changing greenhouse gas emissions, is the biggest driver of biodiversity loss, the primary cause of land-use change, one of the largest sources of nitrogen and phosphorus pollution and it generates huge freshwater demand. If we want a sustainable future on earth we need to stay within the planetary boundaries which are holding the stability of the earth together.

In 2009 Johan Rockström led a group of 28 internationally renowned scientists to identify the nine processes that regulate the stability and resilience of the Earth System and are essential for human survival; the planetary boundaries.
The scientists proposed quantitative planetary boundaries within which humanity can continue to develop and thrive for generations to come. Crossing these boundaries increases the risk of generating large-scale abrupt or irreversible environmental changes.

We believe, driving innovation and change to these food systems, will eventually transform them from being the cause of overstretching the planetary boundaries to becoming the solution. We also believe that the entrepreneurial minds of our time are up for the challenge. So we contribute by adding capital, knowledge and network to help make a positive environmental impact with their food & agriculture ventures.

Taking impact seriously will be the new norm. We developed our own methodology which we will apply through the whole investment process, from screening deals, creating value and portfolio management, straight to our own impact carry.
