Introducing our new Investment Director: Kim Wagenaar

We are thrilled to welcome Kim Wagenaar to our team as the new Investment Director. With a rich background in sustainable investment and strategic consultancy, Kim brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our organisation.

Education: Kim holds a PhD in Development Studies from the prestigious University of Cambridge. Her research delved into the transformation of microfinance institutions from nonprofits to for-profits, focusing on their outreach to the underserved. Additionally, she has been an accounting lecturer for the MBA programme at Cambridge, showcasing her versatility in both academic and practical realms.

Professional Experience: At Aqua-Spark, Kim served as the Head of the Deal Team, where she led a team of four. During her time at Aqua-Spark she worked on 13 new and follow-on transactions covered seven portfolio companies, holding positions as a board member or board observer in several of those.

Prior to Aqua-Spark, Kim was associated with Bain & Company in London, where she worked on various commercial due diligence projects and post-acquisition strategy projects for PE clients. Her role as a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain equipped her with deep insights into strategy, organisational design, and transformation projects.
